The Intensive Team Leader Programme is designed:

  • To enable the Team Leaders to understand their preferred communication style and its impact on their leadership - this gives increased self-awareness and the motivation to change to increase the Team Leader's ability to appreciate difference and to adapt and connect to build rapport and trust.
  • To enable the Team Leaders to understand their role, the management and teams expectations - this can aid clarity and increase the management activity of the Team Leader.
  • To increase the Team Leader's gravitas, discipline and authority in order to make the transition from a team member to the leader - this can overcome tensions and stress within the team, improve team-working and raise productivity.
  • To understand the essential link between the business objectives, priorities and the team’s day to day activity - to focus the team on activity that gets results.
  • To increase their personal effectiveness and ability to be pro-active in managing the factors they can control- this can maintain the focus on activity that gets results in the face of adversity.
  • To plan effectively and be able to set clear and measurable goals - this can improve motivation and clarify team member’s roles and activity.
  • To successfully delegate tasks and develop self-sufficient and capable team members who deliver what is expected and on time - to prevent Team Leaders from NOT delegating which can improve their effectiveness, the development and productivity of the team.
  • To deliver great feedback that motivates and provides guidance on development - to ensure timely and useful feedback that encourages the behaviour you want and discourages the behaviour you don’t want.
  • To understand the individual's motivation and to use appropriate motivation techniques - to pinpoint how to get the best out of people and to encourage regular and powerful praise and recognition.
  • To manage poor performance and challenging situations - to address rapidly issues and challenges that can drag the performance of the team down.

This intensive course can be greatly enhanced by enabling Team Leaders to gain an understanding of their communication style and preferences, their strengths and weaknesses and the areas for improvement to their adaptability and connectivity to others through the Insights Discovery Profiling and de-brief.
